Five steps from hello to wow.
You pick the look. We handle the balloons, petals, lights and the setup. The only thing you book yourself is the hotel.
Pick a package and your colors
Silver, Gold, Platinum or Royal, with 1, 2, 3 or 4 colors included for your 12-inch latex balloons and foil heart and star balloons. Add anything from the add-on menu.
Book your date
Tell us the occasion and date. If the date is open, we send a proposal with your total out-of-pocket cost, taxes and service fee included. Want time to decide? After you get your proposal, ask us to hold your date. The hold ends 3 days after your proposal is created.
Sign and pay your deposit
You sign a short contract and liability waiver, then pay a 50% deposit. The balance is due two weeks before your event.
Book your hotel
Reserve your room under your own name and send us the location at least two weeks out. Then add the name listed on your proposal to the reservation as an additional guest so we can get in to set up.
Walk into the room
We decorate Thursday through Sunday. Setups start at 3 or 6 PM (Sundays at 3 PM) and take about 1.5 to 3.5 hours depending on your package.

Prices are before our 18% service fee, tax and any travel fee. Travel is included within 15 miles of Richmond International Airport.

I've always loved decorating, event planning, and making people feel seen. I started in hospitality as a sales and catering coordinator, and my favorite part was always watching people stop, celebrate each other, and enjoy the moment together.
After planning our 10-day destination wedding, I was exhausted. My husband's 40th birthday was the week after we got home, a big one I couldn't skip, so I went looking for someone to decorate a hotel room for him. I called several hotels and searched for companies, but I couldn't find anyone. That's when I realized there was a gap in the market. I had the proper training and knowledge to do it myself, but starting a company is terrifying. My husband encouraged me to go for it, and with his support, Proper Celebration was born: elevated rooms at realistic prices.
